Misdirected Third Nerve Syndrome
General: May occur with a variety of inflammatory in 242e42c fections and parainfections, vascular lesions, tumors, and degenerative and demyelinating diseases that may involve the nerve anywhere; may occur as primary aberrant regeneration without prior history of acute oculomotor nerve palsy.
Ocular: Bizarre eyelid movements that may accompany various eye movements; lid may rise as the medial rectus, the inferior rectus, or the superior rectus muscle contracts; iridoplegia; ptosis.
